After a week of holiday parties, presents, morning cartoons, and staying up way past his bedtime, Ferdinand the llama was not ready to head back to the classroom today. According to reports, when his mother, Lily, tried to get him up this morning for school, Ferdinand tried to feign illness and finagle an extra day off.
“She wasn’t having any of it,” said Hugh Wohl, a close family friend. ”Lily has six other kids, so she knows a fake fever when she sees one.”
